On the foundation of its bold motto, Live Free or Die, New Hampshire is where your family and your business can grow, thrive, and prosper. The Department of Business and Economic Affairs is the resource to make it all happen.

The Best Work/Life Balance

New Housing Planning Tool

By 2040, New Hampshire will need 90,000 new units to meet demand. BEA’s new Fiscal Housing Calculator uses local data to breakdown the impact costs and revenues on communities to help them plan for the future.

Creating Broadband Connections

Reliable broadband is essential to New Hampshire businesses and families in both urban and rural locations. BEA has funded efforts that will bring high-speed access to more than 50,000 new locations, getting closer every day to our goal of 100% access. Check out the digital inroads BEA has made in connecting communities around the state.

Accepting Housing Champion Designations

Since launching the $100 million InvestNH housing program in 2022, BEA has played an important role in addressing the housing crisis. BEA’s Housing Champions program helps communities create local housing solutions, such as access to housing and infrastructure grants. Municipal applications for the next round of designation are due by May 31.
