New Hampshire consists of 10 counties—shown on the map above—and approximately 250 towns and cities.
Note: The northern part of the state, including all of Coos County and the northern parts of Grafton and Carroll counties (above the White Mountains) is often referred to as the North Country.
Tourism Regions
New Hampshire is also divided into seven tourism regions—the Seacoast, Merrimack Valley, Monadnock Region, Dartmouth-Lake Sunapee Region, Lakes Region, White Mountains and Great North Woods.
