Working with the NH Department of Labor

The NH Department of Labor monitors employers, Workers Compensation, and insurance carriers to insure that they are in compliance with NH labor laws.

The Department can provide information and assistance to employers concerning all state labor laws including New Hampshire Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act, Minimum Wage Law, Workers' Compensation Law, Whistleblowers' Protection Act, Safety & Health of Employees, and Apprenticeship Programs in Trade and Industry, to mention just a few.

In order to make the employees aware of the rights and remedies available to workers, the Legislature has mandated that employers post the specified notices in every work place. These Department of Labor posters are available for free download on DOL's website.
