New Hampshire also ranks third in the number of married households - behind only Utah and Idaho. According to a survey done last year, 54.3 percent of households are married couples. Utah had 61.5 percent and Idaho, 56.3 percent. Statistics show that Rockingham County has the highest concentration with 56.2 percent of households representing married couples.
New Hampshire remains one of the wealthiest states in the nation, with the sixth-highest median income and the lowest percentage of residents living in poverty, according to data released by the U.S. Census Bureau.
