Insight Tech-Gear Named January “Innovation Rocks!” Award Winner
LONDONDERRY – The creation of a miniature handheld thermal imaging device has led to Insight Tech-Gear being named the “Innovation Rocks!” Award winner by the New Hampshire Division of Economic Development’s Business Resource Center for the month of January.
Introduced in 2008, the MTM-V2-LCD (Mini Thermal Monocular) allows the military and first responders to see crisp, clear live images in total darkness utilizing a handheld thermal imaging device that weighs less than 11 oz. This product is the only thermal imaging device that renders facial recognition quality images and man-sized objects at a 1/3 mile distance in a package this small.
“Insight Technology’s Tech-Gear group has created a device that is truly a life saving invention,” said New Hampshire Division of Economic Development Interim Director Roy Duddy. “With unlimited applications for the brave men and women serving our country as well as first emergency responders, the MTM-V2-LCD is a true demonstration of a product that places the Granite State ahead of the pack in the race to innovate.”
