The InvestNH Municipal Demolition Grant Program awarded $11.5 million to municipalities for the demolition of vacant or dilapidated buildings to support redevelopment or new housing construction. Awards were issued to municipalities on a reimbursement basis with a $500,000 cap. Property subject to demolition must have been vacant for 90 days prior to the application, have no cost-effective measures for restoration, and be part of a larger revitalization or greening plan.
The Demolition program impacted 2,302 new housing units across the state.
