Office of Housing and Infrastructure Development

The Office of Housing and Infrastructure Development (OHID) manages several key programs to support housing development and infrastructure improvements in New Hampshire. Collectively, these programs represent an investment of $115 million in workforce and affordable housing across the state.

OHID administers multiple funding initiatives aimed at accelerating housing development, incentivizing municipal support for housing projects, and improving infrastructure to support long-term community growth. These programs provide critical resources to developers and municipalities to create and sustain affordable housing options.

OHID programs currently include:
  • InvestNH 1.0  – $100 million in American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds awarded through capital, demolition, per unit, and planning programs to support workforce housing projects.
  • InvestNH 2.0  – $10 million in general funds available through grants and loans to support workforce housing projects.
  • Housing Champion Designation and Grant Program  – Incentivizes municipalities to adopt pro-housing zoning and land use regulations through designation and exclusive grant opportunities. $5 million awarded to date for infrastructure improvements and construction of workforce housing.
