2020 Census Redistricting Data Legacy Format Summary Files Published
August 12, 2021

The U.S. Census Bureau released the 2020 Census P.L. 94-171 Redistricting Data Summary Files in legacy format. These files can be downloaded for New Hampshire through the Census Bureau's FTP site. The summary file contains demographic characteristics of the nation by state, county and city/town (down to the census block level), including: race and ethnicity, voting-age population, occupied and vacant housing units, and people living in group quarters like nursing homes, prisons, military barracks and college dorms.

2020 Census State Population Totals and Apportionment Results Published
April 26, 2021

The U.S. Census Bureau announced that the 2020 Census shows the resident population of New Hampshire on April 1, 2020, was 1,377,529 people compared to 1,316,470 in the 2010 Census, an increase of 61,059 people or 4.6% since the 2010 census. The release of the 2020 Census Apportionment data also shows that New Hampshire retained its two congressional districts.

2020 Census Geographic Products Available
February 9, 2021
The U.S. Census Bureau released the 2020 Census P.L. 94-171 geographic support products for New Hampshire. These geographic products are provided to support redistricting efforts by state and local governments and contain newly created 2020 Census blocks and updated block groups, census tracts, voting districts, and current boundaries for legal governments and school districts referenced to Jan. 1, 2020.
