What We Offer

The Office of Planning and Development (OPD) offers many services to state, regional and local officials and interested citizens relating to planning, zoning, and land use.

Data and Maps
Provides a summary of the data and maps produced or compiled by OPD and by other state agencies and organizations for use by municipalities and other stakeholders.

Floodplain Management Assistance
Provides technical assistance, training, and resources to participating communities and the public on floodplain management topics.

Plan-link Listserv
Provides an online discussion and information-sharing forum for the New Hampshire planning, zoning and land use regulation community that is hosted and moderated by OPD.

Planning and Zoning Publications
Provides a list of links to publications produced by OPD and other organizations that provide information and guidance on various planning, zoning, and land use topics.

Planning and Zoning Training
Includes information about upcoming and past planning and zoning training opportunities conducted or facilitated by OPD. Includes information and links to the current and past OPD Annual Planning and Zoning Conference, which is required under RSA 673:3-a and has been held since 1994. Also, provides a summary of upcoming planning-related conferences and events conducted by OPD and its planning partners.

Technical Assistance
OPD provides technical assistance to all stakeholders including the public on planning and zoning topics, floodplain management, and Census data and mapping.

Zoning Amendment Calendars
Provides the zoning amendment calendars for the annual spring traditional town meetings and official ballot (SB2) meetings that are produced by OPD.
