OPD collects this data on an annual basis as part of its statutory requirement to generate population estimates.
Dwelling Unit Survey
OPD is required under RSA 78-A:25 to estimate the population of New Hampshire communities annually. This is accomplished in part by using building permit data collected from all NH municipalities.
These estimates are part of a formula that is used to allocate funds to your community.
